A: Clear Bra is a transparent, nearly invisible paint-protection film that is made from ultra-rugged urethane. Its main function is to shield your vehicle’s finish from road debris such as sand and gravel that would normally cause permanent damage.

A: Clear Bra paint protection guards your vehicle against numerous types of road debris. Gravel and dirt are the most common culprits here in Colorado. Clear bra also protects your paint from showing signs of weathering, fading and oxidization. and
Q: How long does Clear Bra last?
A: The average lifespan of Clear Bra is 7-10 years. It is a semi-permanent installation and can be removed and replaced at any time.
Q: I've seen cars with Clear Bras that have turned yellow - will this happen to my car?
A: The yellowing you see on some vehicle's paint protection is actually not a Clear Bra. These can best be described as an after-market product that didn't have enough product testing and the adhesive actually had the opposite effect and ate away at the paint instead of protecting it. The main brand that ran into this problem was called Ricochet Paint Protection. Clear Bras are manufactured by the 3M corporation and are guaranteed NOT to yellow or affect your paint. Here at Performance we only use top of the line 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection, so you never have to worry about your Clear Bra turning yellow.
Q: What areas of my vehicle should I have Clear Bra on?
A: Clear Bra can be installed to protect your hood, fenders, headlights, fog lights, mirrors, bumper, door handles, a-pillars and virtually any other surface at risk. Choosing the level of Clear Bra protection that is right for you greatly depends on your driving habits and types of road conditions you are regularly in. Obviously, if you drive on dirt roads regularly or have long commutes in winter when there is a lot of gravel on the ground, you would want to have a large amount of Clear Bra protection. If you have a Sunday-driver that just goes to church and back, you would be best suited with a small package.
